Rendezvous is the original Palm Springs hotel to lead the mid-century modernism revival, in a bold and colorful style. Rendezvous offers an elegant, romantic 50s getaway with personal service and vintage 50s furnishings. Newly remodeled in late 2007, the new look includes the fabulous features of the fifties with some extra modern comforts including flat screen TVs, DVD Players, A/C Heater combo units and refrigerator in each room. The common areas have been reappointed to include a couples massage room and new poolside bar. Re-built in 1952, it is located uptown near vintage furniture stores and has been featured in Vogue, ELLE, Los Angeles Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Los Angeles Times, Frommer’s Guide, and Zagat Survey, as well as in numerous fashion shoots. Originally a haven for stars like Marilyn Monroe and Gloria Swanson, it’s now an escape for today’s Hollywood set. Its 10 rooms and suites are all differently themed- some with beautifully adorned sitting areas and luxurious bathrooms. The poolside bar is a rendezvous for romantic couples or a place to chill and be cool in private. Access is by reservation only, as Rendezvous caters to a discerning clientele.
