Makes 9 Servings
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 egg
Dash of salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1½ cups quick-cook oats
½ cup old-fashioned oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons dry roasted, slivered almonds
¹/₃ cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon; mix well. Add oats, baking powder, almonds and raisins, mixture will be dry. Press mixture into a well-greased 8x8-inch baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Cut into 9 bars and wrap well.
