Casa Fruit Scones



3 cups All Purpose Flour
1/3 cup Sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons Baking Powder
3/4 teaspoons Salt
3/4 cups Butter - cut into small pieces
1 cup Buttermilk
1 teaspoon Citrus Zest
1/2 cup Dried Fruit - Your Choice


  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together into a mixing bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Cut in butter.
  3. Add the buttermilk, dried fruit & zest to the flour mixture and stir by hand just until the batter is evenly moistened.
  4. Turnout to ball – press 12 turns. Cut into triangles.
  5. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until scones are golden brown.
