Military Specials from California Inns

In honor of the men and women who serve in the U.S. military, several CABBI members are offering military specials in conjunction with Veterans’ Day (November 11, 2013), most of which are available year-round.

joshua innJoshua Inn Bed & Breakfast is a 1902 Victorian mansion in downtown Hollister that offers a 15% discount to military service members. The five-room inn features newly renovated bathrooms, an inviting outdoor fireplace, hot tub, and scrumptious breakfasts. The inn is located near Pinnacles National Park as well as a number of artisan wineries, which the inn features during its afternoon wine tasting. Elk Cove Inn & SpaElk Cove Inn and Spa is offering a special 20% discount off of the inn's standard rates to all active duty members of the military for Veteran’s Day weekend, November 8-11, 2013.  A classically romantic Mendocino getaway, the inn is situated high on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The inn’s guest rooms feature fireplaces, private baths, down comforters and fresh flowers from the inn’s gardens. A complimentary glass of port in the evening will end a day spent exploring the area. Harkey HouseHarkey House Bed & Breakfast Inn, located in the quaint Sutter Valley, offers a year-round discount to members of the U.S. military. Honor MansionAs a thank you for service to the U.S., Honor Mansion in Healdsburg offers a Military Discount of 10% off on lodging year-round. The Sonoma wine country inn is an intimate resort with 13 unique, luxurious rooms spread over a four acre property. The inn features a putting green, tennis, basketball, pool, spa services, and personal concierges and is the recipient of AAA’s prestigious Four Diamond award for 14 years running.  The military special requires mention of service in the armed forces at the time of booking and to show a valid military ID upon arrival.  Call 707-433-4277 for reservations. 

queen anne hotelThe Queen Anne Hotel is a landmark hotel in downtown San Francisco and a proud supporter of men and women who have served in the U. S. military. The inn features individually furnished rooms and period antiques and a variety of amenities including complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea.  Military discounts apply when contacting the hotel directly, either by email or by phone at 800-227-3970, mentioning the branch of service and requesting the hotel’s military discount rates.  The percentage of the discount varies, but is always significantly less the posted rates. The military discounts are available year round.

Lavender InnThe Lavender Inn in Ojai is offering free, three-day retreat three times a year for female soldiers who have been victims of military sexual assault. The inn is partnering with a local non-profit, Reins of Hope, which uses equine therapy and counselors with a proven track record for helping victims of assault.  The retreat includes a stay at the inn and group bonding activities such as cooking classes, hikes, fireside chats, and a session with a specialist in therapy journaling.
