Sandwich, chips, local apple, sparkling water and even a chocolate surprise! We can pack your meal for you and have it available at check-out or as a mid-stay lunch… just let us know. We will give you your choices and have your meal ready for you. Minimum two hours notice needed. We take care of the meal… the sites and stops are up to you!

There’s no better way to relax in your hotel room after a busy day of sightseeing or business meetings than curling up with a good book. Perhaps you’ve accepted the challenge of The Great American Read, to read all of America’s 100 most-loved novels.The Redwood Riverwalk Hotel in Fortuna, CA has you in mind with its collection of books they invite you to read during your stay. Books are scattered on shelves throughout the lobby and in the Cubicle. You don’t need to worry about finishing the book during your stay at The Redwood. Guests are welcome to start reading it here and take the book on the road with them. When you’ve finished the book, just share it with someone else at your final destination. Guests can select from best-selling titles such as Catherine Coulter’s suspense thrillers Blind Side and Blow Out, or John Grisham’s legal thrillers The Summons and The Appeal. There are historical novels like Ken Follett’s Fall of the Giants, and romantic ones like Danielle Steel’s Blue. Many of these books were purchased to support Yountville Friends of the Library through their book sales. Book lovers can request The Redwood’s  special  Book(mark) Package. In addition to all the hotel’s complimentary amenities from breakfast and WiFi to parking, bookworms will leave with a copy of Richard Preston’s The Wild Trees: A Story of Passion and Daring to read when they return home. The book is set here in the heart of the redwoods, where it follows the adventures of the botanists and naturalists who scaled these giants to reach the heights of their canopies. There, they discovered the beautiful but dangerous hidden world high above the forest floor.  The book is a perfect souvenir of your stay on California’s Redwood Coast. As part of this package, The Redwood also donates $10.00 to the help the Yountville Friends of the Library.
